Brand Video Case Study: A Quiet Place Counseling | Austin J. Allen CreativE

For a counseling practice, trust isn't a marketing nice-to-have, it's the entire product. A brand video like this does something a website's text alone cannot:

It lets a prospective client see Dr. Krause's warmth, hear her voice, and get a genuine feel for her practice's environment before making the vulnerable decision to reach out.

The video now serves as a first impression across A Quiet Place Counseling's website and social media, helping new and prospective clients feel more comfortable and confident before their very first conversation, and giving Dr. Krause a lasting asset she can point new inquiries to again and again.

The Client

A Quiet Place Counseling is a therapy practice in Auburn, Alabama, led by Dr. Marina Krause, offering Cognitive

Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, pastoral counseling, and nutrition coaching to individuals, couples, and families across Alabama and Georgia.

The Challenge

Choosing a therapist is one of the most personal decisions someone can make, and for many prospective clients, that decision starts long before they ever pick up the phone. It starts with a website, a handful of photos, and a leap of faith.

Dr. Krause needed a way to close that gap: to give people considering therapy for the first time a genuine sense of who she is, how she practices, and why her approach could be the right fit, before they ever stepped through her office door.

The Approach

I worked with Dr. Krause to create a 4-minute brand story video centered on authenticity over polish. Rather than a scripted overview of services, the video was built around genuine, on-camera conversation, letting her explain her philosophy and approach to care in her own words, paired with cinematic footage of her practice space designed to feel warm and inviting rather than clinical.

The goal throughout was simple: make a prospective client feel like they already know her before they ever meet her.

In Her Words

"Austin is a joy to work with! He is relational, professional, kind, communicative, and incredibly streamlined in his process from start to finish. During filming, he was simultaneously calm and directive, guiding me through each step with confidence and ease.

Our final brand video turned out amazing. Austin captured the heart of our work and the 'why' behind it in such a meaningful, cinematic way. He thoughtfully paired footage, sound bites, and music in a way that genuinely captured the emotion and care behind what we do.

Before filming, Austin told me the process was going to be fun. I admittedly had my doubts! Although I deeply value relational connection, connecting with a video camera brought up some nerves. I'm happy (and honestly surprised) to say that he was right, it ended up being so much fun. Austin made the experience feel comfortable and natural while still giving me helpful direction throughout the whole process.

Hiring Austin was a wonderful choice. I'm incredibly thankful he chose to share his gifts with us and for the care and effort he put into creating something that feels so true to who we are and why we do what we do. I highly recommend Austin!"
